Bromeswell – man charged with manslaughter

A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man in Bromeswell near Woodbridge.

Officers were called by the ambulance service at 12.52am on Saturday 29 August, reporting that a man aged in his 30s had been found dead within a property in Summer Lane in the village.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on the afternoon of 29 August. He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

Umidbek Akhmedov, 31, of Summer Lane, Bromeswell, was subsequently charged with manslaughter.

He appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday Monday 31st August.

A Home Office post-mortem took place Sunday 30 August, further specialist examinations are required before the cause of death can be established.
